Bears drop first match of the weekend vs Idaho

The weekend road trip began Friday night for the men's tennis team in Moscow, Idaho to take on the Idaho Vandals, ending in a 6-1 loss for the Bears.
The Vandals were able to pick up the doubles point with a win in No. 1 against Kyle Pease/Tommy Smalley 6-1 and in No. 2 by a score of 6-2. The Bears were able to pick up a win in the No. 3 spot from Adolfo Arroyo/Michael Kritzinger over Casino/Scarpelli 7-5.
Alex Exsted earned the only point on the day for the Bears, who defeated his opponent Guilherme Scarpelli in three sets 2-6, 7-5, 10-2. The Vandals were able to pull out the five other singles wins in straight sets.
The Bears will hop over the border into Cheney, Washington looking to end their road trip with a win against Eastern Washington on Saturday at 1 PM.
