@UNC_Bears_Golf earns second straight top 10 finish

UNC women's golf earned its second consecutive top 10 finish at the Gunrock Invitational
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Beah Cruz earned her third top 15 finish of the season and UNC women's golf earned its second straight top 10 finish at the Gunrock Invitational on Tuesday. The Bears moved up one spot in the final round by shooting its second consecutive 301 to finish with a 909 for the tournament finishing in eighth place.
Beah Cruz put together a second straight 74 to finish with an overall score of 221 and earn a tie for 13th finish. Cruz was consistent throughout the round recording 14 pars, a birdie and no scores above a bogey.
Nicole Polivchak recorded the best round of the day for the team with a 1-over 73. She led the team with a pair of birdies in her round. Polivchak ended the tournament with a 225 total which placed her in a tie for 26th.
Two other Bears finished the Gunrock Invitational in the top 50 in Morgan Sahm and Marissa Hisaki. Sahm shot a 231 for the tournament and Hisaki was just a stroke behind at 232 to finish tied for 40th and 43rd, respectively.
Sacramento State won the tournament with a three-round total of 859 led by individual champion Corinne Viden and her 208.

What's ahead
Northern Colorado returns to action next week when they head to Hawaii for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Oahu, Hawaii. The 54-hole event will take place over March 12 and 13 with the first two rounds being played on the 12th.
