The Bears were unable to end their weekend road trip with a win, falling to the Weber State Wildcats in Utah 6-1.
The doubles point was earned by the Wildcats by winning the No. 1 and No. 2 courts. Patty Kuo/Sara Parker defeated Raffa Mora/Anna Battersby 6-0, and Yuuna Ukita/Megan Lombardi defeated Sarina Chhabra/Synclair Larson 6-2.
Despite the match being unfinished, Sandra Keta/Natalie Stanton were leading Emily Tanner/Morgan Dickason 5-2 on the No. 3 court.

Sandra Keta went three-sets on the No. 2 court with Yuuna Ukita, who came back after losing the first set 6-3 to defeat Keta 6-4, 10-4 in the last two. Cali Fuller also defeated Raffa Mora in three sets by a score of 6-7, 6-1, 10-5.
Weber State was able to win the rest of the matches in two sets. Megan Lombardi took down Synclair Larson 6-1, 6-1 on the No. 4 court. Morgan Dickason defeated Madeline Doherty 6-1, 6-0 in the No. 5 duel. The last win on the day for WSU was from McKenna Lloyd, who won over Mana Koitabashi 6-3, 6-2.
Head Coach Chad Stoloff had this to say after the match,
"Really good doubles match at No. 3. We competed really hard and tough in one, two, and three singles today. Massive win by Anna in No. 1 coming back after losing the first set, really good match. . .great focus and energy along with attention to detail by Anna. We will learn and grow from this."
UNC will now travel to Northern California for matches on Friday and Saturday against UC Davis and Sacramento State.
