A Look Back at the 2010s for UNC Athletics

The 2010s were Northern Colorado Athletics' first full decade as a full-fledged NCAA Division I member and it did not disappoint. The department excelled both on and off the playing field. Take a look back at some of the facts and figures from the 2010s.
UNC combined for 18 team conference championships, 11 team NCAA Tournament appearances, 19 conference Players of the Year and eight All-America performances. In the classroom, Northern Colorado had 1,244 Academic All-Conference honors including 11 Academic All-Americans. All of the success led to the department finishing in second place in the 2017-18 Big Sky President Cup, our best-ever finish since joining the conference in 2006.

Some highlights that do not make the lists include men's basketball's 2018 CIT Championship, Andrew Romano winning the 2018 Big Sky men's golf individual title, Savannah Smith and Mariel Gutierrez being named the 2019 Colorado Sportswomen of the Year or the respective sports and Carleigh Silvers and Beah Cruz winning the 2012 and 2019 Big Sky women's golf individual championships.
