Castiglia Named Big Sky Men's Golfer of the Week

UNC sophomore Jack Castiglia earned his second Big Sky Player of the Week honor.
FARMINGTON, Utah – For the second time this year Northern Colorado men's golfer Jack Castiglia has been named the Big Sky Men's Golf Player of the Week.
Castiglia had a busy week competing in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate and Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational over a five-day stretch. He finished in a tie for first at the Ron More Intercollegiate and followed it up with a tie for 11th finish at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite. He had a stroke average of 68.83 over the six rounds and led the team in both tournaments with 30 birdies combined.
His low round of the week was a 67, also shot three 68s and a 69. On the year he has nine rounds in the 60s.
Castiglia's stroke average for the season is 70.00.
The Bears are off until the spring season starts in February. UNC's first tournament of the spring is the Thunderbird Invitational hosted by Southern Utah in St. George, Utah. Northern Colorado won the tournament last season.
