Preview: @UNCOSwim_Dive Heads to Idaho and Pueblo this Weekend

GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado swimming and diving will face have their final tune ups of the season before the WAC championships this weekend as they travel to face WAC rival, University of Idaho on Friday and Colorado State University-Pueblo on Saturday. The Bears were last in action at the Butler-Hancock Pool on January 13 when they dropped a pair of dual meets to Northern Arizona and Colorado State.
About Idaho: The Vandals are 3-5 on the season including 1-3 in WAC competition. Idaho sophomore Leah Fisk is one of the top performers in the WAC this season. Fisk clocked a 51.27 in the 100 Freestyle. The Vandals have been strong in breaststroke events this season, Idaho senior Cara Jernigan whose time of 2:18.72 is ranked seventh in the WAC.
About CSU-Pueblo: The ThunderWolves come into the weekend at 1-6 on the season. Top performers include sophomore Phoebe Pontious who leads the pack with four event wins in 2017-18. Pontious holds the CSU-Pueblo record in the 50 Free (24.80) and the 100 Free (53.68). Sophomore Kortney Spencer has won three events in diving this season. Junior Arianna Rohde holds the Pack's record in both the 100 back (59.19) and 200 back (2:08.98).

After this weekends duals, Northern Colorado's next competition will be at the WAC championships February 21-24 in Houston.
