Jacob Howards strong performance last week earned him WAC Pitcher of the Week honors
DENVER – The Western Athletic Conference named its Hitter and Pitcher of the Week for the week of May 8- 14, and Northern Colorado's right handed pitcher Jacob Howard earned the Pitcher of the Week honors.
It is the first time in Howard's career that he has earned the honor. He was key in both of UNC's 10 inning wins over UT Rio Grande Valley. The senior hurler came out of the pen throwing a combined 4.0 innings in two appearances for a 1-0 record and picked up a save. Over the four innings, Howard allowed no runs and just three hits while striking out three.

The Bears host Chicago State starting Thursday afternoon for a three-game series.
