GREELEY, Colo. – The final two games of the Northern Colorado (9-18, 5-11 Big Sky) men's basketball season will take place this week, beginning with a visit from Portland State (14-13, 7-9) on Thursday, March 2. Tip between the Bears and Vikings is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Scouting Northern Colorado (Game Notes)
- Northern Colorado enters the final two games of the season with a 9-18 record and 5-11 record in the Big Sky.
- With six assists last weekend, sophomore guard, Jordan Davis reached 150 on the season, making him the all-time single-season assist leader in program history.
- UNC is 2-0 against Sac State and Portland State this season. The Bears opened league play with a pair of road wins over the two teams.
- Since joining the Big Sky Conference, Northern Colorado is 13-12 all-time in the month of March.
- In the all-time series, UNC is 8-18 against Portland State and 14-6 against Sacramento State.
Scouting Portland State (Game Notes)
- The Vikings visit Greeley with a 14-13 overall record and boast a 7-9 mark in the Big Sky.
- PSU is coming off back-to-back wins against Northern Arizona (84-72) and Southern Utah (93-86).
- Portland State has an impressive six players that average double figures on the season, but only five of the players are active.
- De'Sean Parsons (15.3 ppg), Deontae North (13.6 ppg), Calaen Robinson (13.1 ppg), Traylin Farris (10.8 ppg) and Bryce Canda are the other five players averaging 10 points or more on the season for PSU.
- The Viks currently sport the best offense in the league, averaging 86.5 points per game, however they are giving up 81.6 points to their opponents, ranking them 11th in scoring defense.
Bears' Last Time Out
- For the third time in Division I program history, UNC opened Big Sky play 2-0 after defeating Portland State 73-59.
- The Vikings entered the contest as the seventh-best offensive team in the country, averaging 90.7 points per game, but the Bears were able to hold PSU to just 36.4% shooting and 59 points as they snapped the Viks' five-game winning streak.
- Redshirt freshman guard, Jonah Radebaugh and junior guard, DJ Miles played pivotal roles in UNC's win at Portland State. Radebaugh scored seven of his 13 points in the final minutes of the second half to seal the win for the Bears. Miles knocked down four three-pointers in the second half, including the one that ended Northern Colorado's five-plus minute scoring drought, finishing with 17 points.
- For the fourth consecutive game, Northern Colorado's defense was able to keep its opponent under 40% shooting. The Bears held the Vikings to just 36.4% from the field, as well as keeping PSU 31 points below their season average.
Another Davis Milestone
- Sophomore guard, Jordan Davis is on the verge of taking over yet another Division I single-season record.
- Davis currently sits with 193 made field goals on the year with two games to play. Former standout Devon Beitzel currently holds the record with 201 field goals made, which he accomplished in the 2010-11 season.
- Davis will only need eight buckets over the course of two games to tie the record, nine to break it.
- Mike Higgins owns the all-time single-season FG record with 274 made in the 1988-89 season.
Honoring Dotson
- Senior forward, Jon'te Dotson enters the final two games of his career this week.
- Dotson, a walk-on from Denver, Colorado will leave Northern Colorado having played more minutes than any other walk-on in the Division I era. Dotson has seen action in 65 games leading into the week.
- He will graduate from UNC with a bachelor's degree in Economics and a minor in Business Administration. He will become the first person in his family to graduate from college.
- Dotson received his first ever career start at UNC in the 2014-15 season as a sophomore, getting the nod at home against Montana on Feb. 14, 2015.
Against the Viks
- UNC snapped a three-game winning streak the Vikings held in the all-time series with a 73-59 win in Portland to open Big Sky play.
- Redshirt freshman guard, Jonah Radebaugh and junior guard, DJ Miles played pivotal roles in UNC's win at Portland State. Radebaugh scored seven of his 13 points in the final minutes of the second half to seal the win for the Bears. Miles knocked down four three-pointers in the second half, including the one that ended Northern Colorado's five-plus minute scoring drought, finishing with 17 points.
- In games played in Greeley, Portland State holds a 9-5 advantage, including a last-second three-pointer in the 2015-16 season to down the Bears 89-86.
- The last time Northern Colorado won at home against PSU came two seasons ago, in 2014-15 in the tune of 90-85.

- The best finish in the month came from the 2010-11 team and the 2012-13 team, both ending with 3-1 records.
