@UNCBearsWBB Scott Earns College Sports Madness Mid-Major Player of the Week

Senior Savannah Scott was named the College Sports Madness Mid-Major Player of the Week for her performance over November 27-December 3
GREELEY, Colo. – For the second time in program history, a UNC women's basketball player earned the College Sports Madness Mid-Major Player of the Week honor. Savannah Scott earned the honor as she helped UNC go 2-0 against BYU and Pacific.
Scott averaged 23.5 points, 5.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals, shooting 68.4 percent from the field including going 5-of-7 from 3-point land and didn't miss on any of her 16 free throw attempts. It is the first time Scott has earned the award, joining teammate Savannah Smith as the other to do so in program history. She was also named the CSM Big Sky Player of the Week. It is the second time this season she has earned that honor.
In Northern Colorado's 79-74 overtime win over BYU, Scott led the way with 25 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds. Both of her rebounds came on the offensive end. During the overtime period, Scott secured the win with a pair of free throws with eight seconds left.
She hit a deep 3-pointer to help the Bears open the game on a 9-0 run against Pacific helping set the tone as UNC never trailed. Scott contributed directly to 14 of UNC's 30 made field goals going 7-of-8 from the field and dishing out seven assists. She finished with a game-high 22 points along with five rebounds as Northern Colorado won 80-55.
Northern Colorado currently sits at 6-2 on the year after its 2-0 week. UNC now has a week to prepare for Colorado State to visit Bank of Colorado Arena on Sunday afternoon at 2 pm.
