Scouting Northern Colorado (Game Notes)
- UNC is eyeing its fourth straight win against Southern Utah on Saturday, which would tie the longest win streak the program has had in the last five seasons. The Bears had a four-game win streak just last year, and then did it twice in the 2013-14 season.
- The streak is thanks to an impressive road trip where Northern Colorado defeated Sacramento State and Portland State last weekend.
- The victories were the first true road wins for the team and helped UNC jump out to a 2-0 start in Big Sky play for the third time in the Division I era.
- Sophomore guard, Jordan Davis paced the team in both wins. Davis poured in 21 against the Hornets and followed it up with 19 points against the Vikings. He continues to lead the team in scoring (19.9 ppg) and assists (5.8 apg).
- The Bears went 2-0 against NAU and SUU last season, playing them just once each on the road.
- UNC remains undefeated at home with a 3-0 record.
