Greeley, Colo – Competing in their second duel meet in as many weekends, Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving will head on the road Saturday to Flagstaff, Arizona, to face defending WAC Champion, Northern Arizona.
The Bears are coming off their first competition in 2017, UNC faced both the Falcons of Air Force and the Red Hawks of Seattle University last weekend in Colorado Springs. Northern Colorado split the action on Friday, falling to Air Force but taking down WAC foe Seattle. The weekend was highlighted by freshmen diver, Allyson Wood who won two out of the three diving events, including her first win in the platform.
Northern Arizona has already face two common opponents, defeating both Idaho (172.5-126.5) and New Mexico State (168-127). The Lumberjacks have already faced four PAC-12 schools in meets this season, twice taking on the University of Arizona.
Including the conference championships, where the Bears finished in seventh place (307.5 pts), UNC faced the Lumberjacks twice last season. Northern Colorado fell, 214-86, during a duel meet in early November. Northern Colorado has never defeated NAU in head-to-head competition.
The first event is scheduled to hit the blocks at 11 AM.
