Greeley, Colo – A new year springs new opportunities for Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving. Fresh off over a month's rest from competition and a visit to the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, UNC will head back down to the shadow of Pikes Peak to face Air Force and Seattle University in their first double duel of 2017.
The Falcons are coming off a sixth place finish at the UCSD Invitational. Friday will mark the fifth duel of the season for Air Force. Early season losses to the Colorado School of Mines and Wyoming were made up for during a double duel, where the Falcons bested both New Mexico and Colorado Mesa.
Seattle is rolling off three consecutive duel meet wins against Pacific Lutheran, Pomona-Pitzer College and Whitworth. The Red Hawks also bolstered an impressive showing at the Husky Invitational, never finishing outside the top eight in the 32-team field, and holding on to a fourth place finish on the third and final day.
Last season, at this very same meet, the Bears earned wins against South Dakota, but fell to both Seattle and Air Force on each day.
The first event is set to hit the blocks Friday evening at 6 PM and 11 AM on Saturday.
