The Bears and the Griz tip at 2:00 p.m. from Dahlberg Arena in Missoula, Montana
GREELEY, Colo. – The regular season finale will be played in Missoula this year. Northern Colorado (9-20, 6-11 Big Sky) is looking to gain some momentum heading into the Big Sky Tournament, but face one of the best in the league in Montana (19-9, 14-3 Big Sky). The Bears and the Griz tip at 2:00 p.m. this Saturday, March 5.

Scouting The Bears (Game Notes)
- UNC lost its fourth straight game on the road after Montana State handed the Bears an 81-63 defeat on Thursday.
- Northern Colorado was paced by freshman guard, Jordan Davis who finished the game with 14 points in the win on 5-of-10 shooting.
- Head coach B.J. Hill is just 4-9 all-time against Montana in his tenure.
- It wasn't too long ago that the Bears picked up a win in Missoula. UNC handed Montana an 84-73 loss back in the 2013-14 season.
- The last time UNC played in Montana, the Griz downed the Bears 66-48. Cam Michael was the only player to reach double figures for the team in the loss, scoring 15.
- Northern Colorado has officially clinched the 9th seed in the conference tournament. The Bears will either play Portland State or Montana State on Tuesday, March 8 at 1:00 p.m. (MT).
Scouting The Griz
- Montana enters Saturday's game 8-2 in their last10 games and are most recently coming off a 71-46 thumping of North Dakota.
- The Griz have lost just one home game this season and that was against Idaho back on Jan. 21, since then they have won five straight inside Dahlberg Arena.
- UM boasts one of the best defenses in the Big Sky, holding opponents to 67.2 ppg. In the last four out of six games, Montana has held its opponent to 67 points or less.
- The Griz also have one of the best scorers and rebounders in the league in Martin Breunig. The forward ranks fifth in scoring, averaging 18.8 ppg and third in rebounding, hauling in 8.9 boards each game.
- Montana holds an 11-3 all-time record against Northern Colorado in games played in Missoula.
Big Sky Seeding
- After Thursday's loss and the rest of the results around the league, UNC clinched the 9th seed at Reno in the Big Sky Tournament.
- Northern Colorado will either play Portland State or Montana State on Tuesday, March 8 at 1:05 p.m. (MT). The Bears are currently 1-2 against the two teams this year, splitting the series with the Bobcats and then falling on a last second three pointer at home to PSU.
- UNC would need to win four games in five days to be crowned Big Sky Champs and will have to go through potential no.1 seed Weber State to do it. Should Northern Colorado win Tuesday's game, then would then face the top team in the tourney.
- The Bears are 0-1 against Weber State in postseason play, but are 1-0 against Montana State. The Bears have never faced Portland State in the Big Sky Conference Tournament.
Last Game Of The Year Can't Hold Anything Back
- UNC heads into the final game of the year at 9-20 and 6-11 in Big Sky play.
- It's the first time in head coach B.J. Hill's tenure to reach 20 losses on the season and is only the second time in conference play that he'll end with a losing record.
- The Bears worst finish under Hill came in the 2011-12 season, with the team finishing 9-19 overall and 5-11 in league games.
- UNC pulled off conference wins against Northern Arizona (twice), Eastern Washington, Sacramento State and Montana State that season.
- This is the first time since joining the Big Sky in 2006 that UNC will end the regular season against the Griz.

- New this year the Big Sky Conference will be headed to Reno, Nevada for both the men's and women's tournament. The #RoadToReno will begin on New Year's Eve and take place over March 7-13 for the women's tournament.
