Â
A Look At The Fighting Hawks
- The Fighting Hawks come to Greeley with a seven-game win streak under their belts after knocking off Weber State, 27-19 at home. UND has the best defense in the Big Sky, holding opponents to just 21.4 points per game. Through nine games, the Hawks are holding their opponents to under 100 yards rushing a game. North Dakota is currently ranked No.16 in the STATS Media Poll and No.11 in the FCS Coaches' Poll.
Â
A Brief History
- UND and UNC's roots go back to the NCAA Division II days when both teams competed in the North Central Conference. North Dakota holds a slight advantage in the all-time series, 15-13. Last season, the Bears took a tough loss at Grand Forks, 45-14. The series originated in the 1980 season when both teams meet in Greeley with UNC pulling out the win, 27- 22. The Fighting Hawks currently hold a three-game win streak in the series.
Â
Stepping Up
