The Northern Colorado wrestlers will take on Boise State and Oregon State this weekend
GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado Bears are on the road this weekend for a pair of non-conference duals against Boise State (Jan. 29) and Oregon State (Jan. 31).
The Bears are coming off of a 22-19 win last weekend over the Cal Poly Mustangs. UNC won six of the ten matches, with their sixth win coming from a decision at heavyweight to break the 19-19 team point tie after the first nine matches.
The UNC squad will first head to Boise, Idaho to face the Boise State Broncos on Jan. 29 at 7:00 PM MT. The Bears won only three matches against the Broncos last season, falling 32-15. This season, Boise State is .500 in duals, including close wins over Arizona State (22-21) and North Dakota State (19-18).
The Oregon State Beavers host the Bears on Sunday (Jan. 31) for a 3:00 PM MT matchup. The Beavers, currently 5-4 in dual action, defeated UNC last season in Greeley, winning eight of the 10 matches for a 40-6 win. Of their five wins this season, two came over Big 12 teams West Virginia (23-9) and Wyoming (32-7).
Both matches will be available to watch via live stream and fans can also follow live stats/results through Trackwrestling (direct links for both duals below).
The Bear squad will make the short trip up to Laramie, Wyoming next Saturday for another Big 12 matchup against the Wyoming Cowboys. The dual will be UNC's final road dual of the season, scheduled for a 7:00 PM MT start.
