GREELEY, Colo. – With conference season just a week away, Northern Colorado volleyball looks to get things rolling during the Hampton Inn and Suites Northern Colorado Classic this weekend. The team welcomes Utah State, Eastern Kentucky and Indiana to Bank of Colorado Arena for the tournament.
Northern Colorado will face Utah State on opening night with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m. The Aggies come into Greeley after snapping a five game losing streak on Tuesday defeating Utah Valley in five sets.
On Saturday UNC will face Eastern Kentucky (12:00 p.m.) and Indiana (8:00 p.m.). It will be the first time in program history that they faced either team.
The Colonels of EKU enter the weekend on a three match losing streak, while the Hoosiers are on a four match win streak.
For UNC, they are coming off a tough stretch in which they faced five straight top 30 teams in the nation and looking forward to being back home for their final tune up before Big Sky play.
Kendra Cunningham is coming off yet another strong weekend where she earned her second All-Tournament team honor of the season averaging 15.6 kills and 11.3 digs during the Pistol Pete Showdown.
The Bears will close out their non-conference schedule on Tuesday when they travel down to Denver to take on the Pioneers.
