Justin Amstutz joined the University of Northern Colorado during the Spring of 2025. He will be serving as the Assistant Director for Student-Athlete Academic Success.
Amstutz comes to UNC after most recently serving as the Assistant Athletic Director for the Student-Athlete Experience at Alabama State University. He brings a multifaceted background in athletic administration, academic support, and operations, having held key roles at institutions including Colorado State University and Alcorn State University.
Amstutz specializes in academic advising for student-athletes, NCAA eligibility and compliance, and program development aimed at holistic student growth. His career reflects a strong commitment to student-athlete academic progress, institutional collaboration, and excellence in event and facility management.
He holds a Master's in Sport Management from Texas A&M University, a Bachelor's in Organizational Leadership from the University of Wyoming, and a Graduate Certificate in NCAA Compliance and APR Reporting from Alcorn State University.
