Laurie Koehn is entering her second season as an assistant coach for Northern Colorado. In her first season as an assistant she saw the Bears go 13-16 while bing the best defensive scoring team in the Big Sky
Koehn has spent 11 years playing professional basketball in the United States and around the world. She played for the Washington Mystics and Atlanta Dream in the WNBA along with in Poland, Turkey and Australia.
She attended Kansas State University, and left her mark on the program. She was a CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2004, along with two time All-Big 12 Second Team member. She also left her mark on the NCAA history book as the all-time leader in made three point shots with 392. That record held until 2015 when Connecticut's Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis.
In high school Koehn competed on the United States U18 team helping them to the gold medal in 2000.
