Kaley Garcia joined new head coach Ben Garcia's staff in fall of 2018 as a graduate assistant. She played center field at UNC from 2015-18.Â
2018 [Senior]: Started 55 of the teams 56 games during the season...Was named to Big Sky All-Tournament team in May...Garcia hit 17 doubles, the second most in a single season in program history. She is also finished second in career doubles with 38..Hit two home runs and drove in 27 runs, while scoring 32...Batted .286 with a team-leading 50 hits and 175 at-bats...She stole 10 bases and walked 17 times...Had a .974 fielding percentage with 75 putouts and one assist.Â
2017 [Junior]: Appeared in 52 games in which she started 32 of them…She had a .263 batting average in 99 at-bats for the Bears…She had 26 hits, seven doubles and one home run for 9 RBI’s…Defensively, she had 41 putouts in 43 chances and only 2 errors to record a .953 fielding percentage.
2016 [Sophomore]: Was one of three players to start all 42 games throughout the season ... recorded a batting average of .284 on 116 at bats ... Had three home runs, three triples, and seven doubles on the season ... On 43 chances recorded a fielding percentage of 1.000.
2015 [Freshman]:Â Appeared in 25 games and started in 8 ... Recorded 20 at bats during her freshman campaign ... Her first hit of the season came against Saint Louis ... Out of 18 chances recorded 14 putouts for a fielding percentage of .944 ... Recorded 5 putouts against Saint Louis.Â
