Brooke Hodgson joins the Northern Colorado softball staff after playing at Colorado Mesa University. Brooke played four years under current Bears' head coach Ben Garcia. After graduating in May of 2018, Brooke began coaching at Colorado Mesa and transferred to UNC when Garcia was hired in September of 2018. Brooke will assist in both hitting and pitching.Â
During her collegiate career, Brooke was a two-time All-American and Academic All-American. In her final season in Pueblo, Brooke lead the nation in various hitting categories. Brooke holds record at Colorado Mesa and RMAC in hitting.Â
Brooke was a corner stone of the Mavericks 37-game win streak in 2018 and helped the team earned the number one ranking in the nation for seven weeks, as well as number one in the regional tournament.Â
Brooke is originally from Rio Rancho, New Mexico and she attended V. Sue Cleveland High School, where she played softball all four years.She is the daughter of Bill and Sheila Hodgson and currently lives in Greeley, Colo.
