- Tait, a prep product of Columbine High School, is coming off a stellar career for the Rebels.
- A three-sport athlete at CHS, Tait is fresh off a First Team All-Jefferson County honor for his efforts on the links, marking the third consecutive year he had been awarded First Team All-Conference accolades.
- A four-year State Qualifier at the 5A level, Tait led the Rebels to three second place team finishes and a third place nod throughout his final season at Columbine High.
- He also aided his team to back-to-back first place finishes at Regionals his freshman and sophomore season..
- At the junior level, Tait has a repetitive history of top finishes, winning the Junior Tour at Plum Creek, along with a second place finish at the Optimist Qualifier at Flatirons GC.
- In his most recent 10 events, Tait has never missed a cut and never finished higher than 22nd in the field.Â
- Tait is just as good off the course, earning CHSAA Academic All-State First Team honors.To qualify for the First Team Academic All-State athletes must hold a minimum of a 3.60 GPA.
Marcus is the son of Pat and Cindy Tait and plans to declare a major in Business at UNC.
