GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado men's golf team announced its spring schedule Tuesday afternoon, as revealed by Director of Golf Clayton Sikorski.
The Bears are coming off a successful fall campaign highlighted by Kaelen Dulany's first-place finish at the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational, where he shot a tournament total of 202. That performance placed Dulany among the top five for lowest 18-hole scores and the top two for lowest 54-hole scores in UNC golf history.
Cooper Tate also delivered strong and consistent play, finishing runner-up at the Bluejay Invitational after shooting eight under par for the tournament. Together, Dulany and Tate combined for three Golfer of the Week honors during the fall season.
"We're excited about our schedule this spring with a mix of new events and familiar venues," Sikorski said. "These tournaments give our players a great opportunity to continue developing and prepare for conference play at the end of April."
The Bears will open their spring season at the Compadres Collegiate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, hosted by UTRGV from Feb. 1–3.
UNC will then travel to Goodyear, Arizona, to compete in the Loyola Intercollegiate, hosted by Loyola Maryland at Palm Valley Golf Course from Feb. 15–17.
Next on the schedule is the Golden Nugget Invitational, set for Mar. 2–3 at The Country Club at The Golden Nugget in Louisiana, hosted by Lamar.
After a brief break from competition, Northern Colorado returns to Arizona for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic, hosted by Wyoming at Southern Dunes Golf Course from Mar. 31–Apr. 1.
In its final regular-season event, the Bears will head to the East Coast to compete in the Shark Invitational, hosted by Long Island University at Brookville Country Club in Glen Head, New York, from Apr. 13–14.
UNC will close out the spring campaign at the Big Sky Championship, held Apr. 27–29 at The Wigwam in Litchfield Park, Arizona, where the Bears will compete for a conference title and a postseason berth.
Northern Colorado enters the spring season battle-tested and prepared to contend for the Big Sky Conference Championship.
