Jun Hashiwaki

Jun Hashiwaki brought over 10 years of athletic training to Northern Colorado when he joined the staff in 2015 to overseeing the football program
Hashiwaki came to the Bears from the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL where he was a seasonal athletic trainer.
With the Jaguars he assisted in daily treatment, rehabilitation, prevention care, and medical record keeping, performed cleaning and maintenance of Hydroworks, whirlpool, and hydrotherapeutic pool, and kept inventory maintenance for medical and Gatorade supplies.
Hashiwaki also mentored the athletic training student and summer interns and was responsible for packing travel trunks and setting up for practices and games
In his season spent in Jacksonville he also substantially enhanced manual therapy and joint mobilization skills for the players.
Hashiwaki also has a strong background in collegiate athletics after he was a graduate assistant at the University of Connecticut overseeing assisting with the football and cross country programs.
While at UConn Hashiwaki developed and implemented daily treatment, rehabilitation, and prevention care and performed and enhanced techniques including, Graston, Active Release Technique, trigger point release, muscle energy technique, and Mulligan joint mobilization.
In his final two seasons with the Husky football program he quickly saw a decrease in preseason injury and watched the team finish with a 20-5 overall record.
The list of football experience of Hashiwaki goes on as he’s done athletic training for the Georgia Force of the AFL, Georgia State, the NFL’s New York Giants, and the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Jun received two bachelor’s degrees one from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan and the other from Oklahoma State University, both in athletic training.
Hashiwaki earned his Master’s degree in Exercise Science from UConn.
