- Mother, Lisa played soccer at Stanford
- Brother, Christian, played running back for Stanford, brother, Max, played college football at Duke and was on the practice squad for the Green Bay Packers, and brother Luke is currently at Louisville as a quarterback
- His maternal grandfather was a silver medalist in the 100-meter dash during the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, and also held the world record in the 100-yard dash in 1956
- Earned Bachelor's degree in psychology from Michigan
