Zach Cable joined the Northern Colorado football staff in February of 2022 as the outside linebackers coach.
Cable spent four years with the Oakland/Las Vegas Raider prior to coming to Greeley. In his time with the Raiders, he worked with both the offense and defense. He started as an offensive assistant working with the offensive line and tight ends including All-Pro Darren Waller.
Starting in 2019, Cable moved over to the defensive side of the ball primarily with the linebackers including Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkoski. The Raiders qualified for the NFL playoffs in 2021.
Before joining the Raiders, he played football at Idaho where he was a defensive lineman, starting for three seasons. He was a team captain in 2016 and 2017.
Cable earned a double major in Organizational Sciences and General Studies with a minor in Psychology from Idaho. He is the son of long-time NFL coach Tom Cable.
