Tyler Olker graduated in 2014 from the University of Northern Colorado with a major Sports & Exercise Science and a minor in Sociology. Upon graduation Olker immediately joined staff working as an Offensive Assistant before becoming the Defensive Graduate Assistant under Defensive Coordinator Larry Kerr. Olker assists with the defensive line, as well running the scout offense.
Olker was born September 5, 1991 and is a native of Spring Grove, IL. He graduated from Richmond-Burton Community High School in 2010 where he was an All-State offensive lineman as well as an All-Conference selection twice. Olker also was selected to the Illinois Coaches Association Shrine All-Star game.
Olker began his college career at the College of DuPage, in Glen Ellyn, IL where he was a 2 year starter as Guard and Tackle. While there he help his team to a Graphic Edge Bowl victory over Coffeyville Community College. He was selected as an NJCAA 2nd team All Region offensive linemen. Olker earned the teams BYA award as a sophomore, helping his team again to the playoffs.

After transferring to the University of Northern Colorado as a mid-year transfer, Olker helped pave the way for Tromaine Dennis’ single game rushing record (222 yds vs North Dakota 11/17/12). He also helped the Bears to their best finish since making the jump to Division 1. As a senior, Olker was selected as both Offensive Player of the Week, and Reliable Man of the Week on separate occasions. Olker was selected to the Big Sky All-Conference Team.

He currently is working on a Master’s Degree in Sport Coaching.
