Rory Palazzo joined the coaching staff at Northern Colorado in July of 2021. He came in as the football program's running backs coach.Â
Palazzo has plenty of experience working alongside Head Coach Ed McCaffrey on his coaching staff for eight years. The last time the two worked together was at Valor Christian High School where they combined to go 24-2 in two seasons including winning the 2019 state championship.Â
A two-time graduate of Southern California, Palazzo was a member of the Trojans football team from 1989-94. At USC he wad a team captain, academic All-American and Academic All-Conference member. He helped the team to a pair of Rose Bowl victories.Â
Palazzo earned both his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree from Southern California in Mechanical Engineering.Â
