Kyle Worden begins his second year as the Video Coordinator for the University of Northern Colorado football program. Beginning in 2015, he joined the staff serving as a volunteer assistant for the coaching staff working for both the offense and defensive side of the ball. He served in that position for two years before being promoted as a Graduate Assistant in which he served the football program and the film department. He was then promoted to be the team’s Video Coordinator after a year of service and is now currently serving in that role.
Kyle oversees the operations of the film department within the football program. Worden uploads, intercuts, edits, and shares film using DVSport™ software for all practice and games during the season. His responsibilities also include hiring and supervising film staff, exchanging film resources to other teams using Dragonfly, creating highlight videos and recruiting materials using Adobe-based products, diagnosing and resolving problems with technical resources within the department, managing the work-study program within the film department, and assisting external resources in providing video resources. He also operates broadcast cameras, records B-Roll, creates highlights using SnappyTV and Adobe products, tapes press conferences, and operates ground level broadcast cameras in his spare time.
Originally from Littleton, Colorado, Kyle earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History with a minor in Sports Coaching from the University of Northern Colorado. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Sports Coaching from the same university.
He is also a graduate of Chatfield High School and played football there his entire time under Bret McGatlin. He won the "Heart of a Charger Award" three out of four years playing for the Chatfield Chargers. The "Heart of a Charger Award" is given to the player who demonstrates the best work ethic, highest energy, and enthusiasm towards the game of football. It was later renamed the “K-Dub Award” to recognize that Kyle Worden was the standard setter for the program and its goals.
Worden also touts prolific career stats recording one reception for seven yards.
