Coach Hall is entering his second season at Northern Colorado and was recently promoted to Special Teams Coordinator. A 12-year veteran of NCAA Division I coach, Hall made an immediate impact in his first season, mentoring Cam Chapa, who was named an FCS Central Freshman All-American and earned Big Sky Conference Honorable Mention under Hall’s guidance as Defensive Pass Game Coordinator and Safeties Coach.
Bringing a wealth of experience to both the defense and special teams’ units, Hall previously served as Special Teams Coordinator, Defensive Pass Game Coordinator, and Cornerbacks Coach at Utah Tech. During his time with the Trailblazers, he developed Ryan Kean, a First-Team All-United Athletic Conference long snapper, and was later named Interim Head Coach following the season.
In 2022, Hall gained experience at the Power Five level, working in the ACC as a Special Teams Analyst at Georgia Tech. He played a key role late in the season, stepping in as an interim assistant coach.
Hall’s coaching career includes eight seasons in the Big Sky Conference, with stints at Montana (2015-17), Sacramento State (2018), and Idaho State (2019-21). While at Montana, he coached multiple All-Big Sky honorees and helped lead the team to an NCAA Division I FCS playoff berth in 2015. In 2016, Montana’s defense ranked first in the Big Sky in total defense and second in pass defense, with Hall leading the secondary.
Hall began his coaching career as a defensive graduate assistant at the University of Colorado (2013-14), working with the defensive line, linebackers, and special teams’ units.
As a player, Hall was a wide receiver at Adams State University (2008-12), where he was a team captain, earned Athletic Director’s Honor Roll recognition, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in human performance and physical education.
Hall and his wife, Marissa, are proud parents to three children: Tre, McKenna, and Maya.
