A Colorado native, Baldwin returned to the Centennial State to take over the Bears offense in 2020 after most recently coaching at Oregon State from 2015-17.
Baldwin not only has experience as an offensive coordinator but also as Division I a head coach at Cal State Northridge in 1996 and San Jose State from 1997-2000.
He has made stops at Colorado State (2012-14), Utah State (2009-11), New Mexico (2007-08), Michigan State (2003-06), Baylor (2002) and Cincinnati (2001) as offensive coordinator.
Baldwin was a nominee for the Broyles Award (Top Assistant Coach) in both 2013 and 14 while at CSU. He has also been named the Western Athletic Conference Offensive Coordinator of the Year (2011), California Community College Region II Coach of the Year (1991) and Western States Conference Coach of the Year (1991).
Baldwin started his coaching career at his alma mater Cal State Northridge before working for legendary coach Jack Elway for 10 years at San Jose State and Stanford. At Stanford, he was Coach McCaffrey's position coach.
After his 10 years under the leadership of Elway, he was the head coach at Santa Barbara JC (1990-93) and San Jose JC (1995) before returning to Cal State Northridge as the head coach in 1996.
Baldwin's coached 10 bowl teams, coached two conference Players of the Year (Garret Grayson, 2014 & Robert Turbin, 2011) and one AP first team All-American (Rachard Higgins, 2014).
Baldwin is married to his wife Kathleen of 41 years. They have two sons Sean and Ryan and a daughter Keiley.
