2018-19
- Played in all 13 tournaments
- Averaged a 73.56 per round over his 36 rounds played.
- Finished in the top 10 once and top 25 five times.
- Best finish came at the UNC Individual Invite where he finished in a tie for sixth.
- Shot in the 60s three times and under par 11.
- Best round of the year was a 67 at the Redhawk Invite.
- First team All-Big Sky honoree.
- Academic All-Big Sky member.
2017-18
- He played in 5 of the 9 tournaments this year.
- He also competed in the NCAA College Station Regional as well as the Big Sky Conference Championship.
- Chen shot a season low of 69 at the NCAA Regional Tournament as well as at the Big Sky Tournament.
- Chen excelled at the Big Sky tournament with finishing 13th in the tournament overall with a total score of 217.
2016-17
- He played in all 10 tournaments this year as a sophomore.

- He shot a season low 70 twice this season coming at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invite in September and at the Big Sky Championships in April

- Though he grew up in China, Chen played his high school golf just down the road in Broomfield, Colorado for Legacy High School.
- While playing for the Lightning, Chen was tabbed as All-Conference and All-State all four years of his career.
- He was also voted to the All-Colorado team his junior season and a two-time 5A State Champion Runner-Up.
- Shot lowest round of 67 twice, once in 2011 and 2013.
Eric is the son of Damon Chen and is still undecided about his major at UNC.
