GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado has added one of Colorado's most accomplished high school standouts, announcing that Andrew Crawford, a transfer from Colorado, will join the Bears for the 2026-27 season.
MEET THE SIGNEE
ANDREW CRAWFORD | GUARD | COLORADO | LITTLETON, COLO
A 6-foot-8 guard from ThunderRidge High School, Crawford spent two seasons at the University of Colorado.
Crawford carries one of the most decorated résumés in Colorado high school basketball. He earned a spot on the 2024 Denver Post All-Colorado Boys Basketball Team and was a two-time Class 6A All-State First Team selection.
He played a pivotal role in leading ThunderRidge to three state championship game appearances, consistently showcasing his leadership on one of the state's biggest stages. As a senior, he averaged 14.3 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game, highlighting his all-around impact.
Widely regarded as the top player in Colorado's Class of 2024, Crawford was a consensus four-star recruit. He was ranked No. 85 overall in the ESPN100 and No. 80 nationally by On3, solidifying his status as one of the nation's premier prospects.
"We're really excited to add Andrew to our Bears squad for 26-27! Before looking at what he will bring to our squad on the floor, I want to emphasize how important Drew's character, maturity and leadership will be to our team. Drew is about all the right "stuff" and is an absolute winner" said Head Coach, Steve Smiley. "On the court, we're looking forward to Drew playing a multitude of positions. He's a Swiss army knife, and his greatest quality is that he is a connector on offense and defense. Drew is a big wing that can play both forward spots and has the skill and feel to play both guard positions. We expect Drew to have an immediate impact on our team. UNC, Greeley, and all of Northern Colorado will enjoy watching Drew!"
