Tatum West Records Eighth Double-Double Of The Season in Loss to Idaho

MOSCOW, Idaho - Northern Colorado women's basketball (21-9, 12-5) battled hard but ultimately fell to Idaho (25-5, 16-1) 55-41 Saturday afternoon at ICCU Arena.
The Bears started strong, building a 17-13 lead after the opening quarter behind a balanced attack and strong interior play. Tatum West led the way early with 10 points and 10 rebounds, her eighth double-double of the season while Neenah George added seven points and three assists. Northern Colorado's first-quarter shooting was efficient at 50%, but the offense cooled off in the second and third quarters.
Idaho took advantage of Northern Colorado's struggles, gradually climbing back into the contest. The Vandals used a mix of inside scoring and free-throw accuracy to gain a lead in the third quarter. Despite several ties and lead changes, Idaho pulled away in the fourth, outscoring the Bears 20-10 in the final period to secure the 14-point victory.
Northern Colorado shot 27.3% from the field and 10.5% from three-point range, while converting 9-of-11 free throws. The Bears were led on the glass by West, who finished with 10 rebounds, and had seven assists collectively. Heather Baymon added six points and five rebounds, and Julia Riley contributed six rebounds.
Idaho was paced by Hope Hassmann's 12 points and eight rebounds, while Kyra Gardner added 10 points and 10 rebounds. The Vandals made 19-of-25 free throws.
UP NEXT: Northern Colorado travels to Missoula, Montana, to face the Grizzlies in their final regular-season game of the 2026 campaign. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. MT.
RECORD WATCH: Several veteran Bears continue climbing the program's record book. Gabi Fields now ranks No. 2 in career steals with 251 and sits fifth in career assists with 362. She also ranks tied for seventh in games played with 123 and is second in games started with 122. Fields is also tied for fifth for single season steals with 72.
Aniah Hall continues her steady rise, ranking tied for ninth in games played with 121, sixth in career blocked shots with 93, and 13th in career rebounds with 623.
Tatum West now sits 14th in career rebounds with 618 and is seventh in single season steals with 64.
