Bears Add Five Mid-Year Transfers Ahead of Spring Season

GREELEY, Colo. — Northern Colorado football continued to bolster its roster ahead of the upcoming spring season with the addition of five mid-year transfers, adding experience and depth across multiple position groups.
The Bears welcome quarterback Brayten Silbor, linebacker Tyler Woods, defensive backs James Coddington and Cadence Turner, and specialist Landon Richardson. All five student-athletes will enroll for the spring semester and participate in spring practices.
Brayten Silbor | QB | 6-3, 216 | Scottsdale, Ariz. | Southwestern College
Silbor arrives in Greeley after a productive season at Southwestern College, where he started nine games under center. The Scottsdale native completed 117-of-196 passes (59.7%) for 1,615 yards and 16 touchdowns, averaging 179.4 yards per game with a passer efficiency rating of 150.7. A graduate of Chaparral High School, Silbor adds experience and depth to the Bears' quarterback room entering the spring.
Tyler Woods | LB | 6-2, 215 | Moorpark, Calif. | Moorpark College
Woods brings physicality and proven production to Northern Colorado's linebacker corps after appearing in 11 games at Moorpark College. He finished the season with 52 total tackles, including 28 solo stops, averaging 4.7 tackles per game. Woods added a sack and an interception, showcasing his ability to impact the game both in the run fit and in coverage.
James Coddington | DB | 6-1, 168 | Murrieta, Calif. | Palomar College
Coddington recorded a strong freshman campaign at Palomar College, appearing in 10 games and totaling 35 tackles. He added an interception and was especially consistent in conference play, where he averaged 3.4 tackles per game. His length and instincts provide added depth and competition in the Bears' secondary.
Landon Richardson | K/P | 6-3, 177 | Antelope, Calif. | American River College
Richardson joins Northern Colorado as a specialist after competing in 10 games at American River College. He adds depth to the Bears' special teams units and will compete for roles during spring practices as the program continues to strengthen all phases of the game.
Cadence Turner | DB | 5-10, 170 | Redondo Beach, Calif. | El Camino College
Turner brings immediate production from the secondary after appearing in 11 games at El Camino College. He totaled 46 tackles and recorded three interceptions, including two in conference play, while averaging over four tackles per game. Turner's ball skills and physical style of play bolster Northern Colorado's defensive backfield heading into the spring.
Northern Colorado will open spring practices later this semester as preparations continue for the upcoming fall campaign.
