GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Women's Golf program is excited to announce the addition of a new signee who will join the Bears for the upcoming season.
MEET THE SIGNEE
Natalia Lamadrid | Xavier College Preparatory | Phoenix, Ariz.
Lamadrid comes to Northern Colorado from Phoenix, Arizona, where she competed for Xavier College Preparatory. A highly accomplished and decorated student-athlete, she was named Best Sportsmanship Player of the Year and helped lead her team to three state championships during her high school career.
Beyond her success on the course, Lamadrid is driven by a passion for helping others. She aspires to become a sports psychologist, with the goal of supporting athletes both mentally and emotionally, while continuing to pursue her dream of competing at the professional level.
Natalia chose Northern Colorado after forming an immediate connection with the program. "I truly fell in love with the team, the coaches, the campus, and the amazing golf courses," she said. "From the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like home. UNC aligns perfectly with my academic goals and athletic dreams, and it represents the next chapter of who I want to become. That connection is what made choosing UNC feel so right."
"Natalia brings a lot of talent and pedigree to the team having played at renowned Xavier Prep in Arizona. She's a great gal and the kind of player and person who fits the culture we are building here at UNC. We are super excited to have her join the team and be a Bear!" stated Associated Head Coach, Tina Barrett.
