GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado women's golf team has announced its spring schedule, as revealed by Associate Head Coach Tina Barrett.
The Bears are coming off a strong fall season highlighted by several standout performances. Timbre Shehee earned a runner-up finish at the Clerico Invitational and was named Golfer of the Week, while Samantha Colombine set a program record with a sensational round of 64 at the Golf Iconic Classic. Overall, the team recorded three top 10 program finishes during fall competition.
"We are extremely excited about our spring schedule," Barrett said. "We'll compete in strong fields across the country, highlighted by our trip to Hawaii. These experiences will be great preparation for the Big Sky Championship in Arizona in April. We'll also look to build on the momentum from a very successful fall season."
Northern Colorado will open the spring season in San Diego, competing in the San Diego State Classic Invitational at Heights Golf Course from Feb. 9–10, hosted by San Diego State.
The Bears will then travel to Abilene, Texas, for the ACU West Texas Classic at Abilene Country Club North, hosted by Abilene Christian, from March 2–3.
UNC continues its spring slate with a trip to Kailua, Hawaii, to compete in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course from March 17–18.
From March 23–24, the Bears head to Acworth, Georgia, for the Bentwater Women's Collegiate at Bentwater Golf Course, hosted by Kennesaw State.
Following the Georgia tournament, Northern Colorado will travel to Bryan, Texas, to take part in the "Mo" Morial Invitational at Traditions Golf Club, hosted by Texas A&M, from April 6–8.
The spring schedule concludes with the Big Sky Conference Championship, held April 20–22 at Wigwam Blue Golf Course in Goodyear, Arizona.
Coming off a successful fall campaign, the Bears look to carry that momentum into the spring as they compete for a Big Sky Conference title.
