GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado women's soccer team is set for a busy weekend of action, starting with a road trip south to Colorado Springs for a Friday night showdown (Sept. 19) under the lights against the Air Force Falcons. Following Friday's game, the Bears will return home to Jackson Stadium on Sunday to host the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The contest not only provides another non-conference test for UNC but also carries special meaning as the program will celebrate its senior class with Senior Day festivities.
The Northern Colorado women's soccer team wrapped up its road trip with a 1-1 draw at South Dakota on Thursday and a 6-3 loss to South Dakota State on Sunday. Lexi Tuite opened the scoring against the Coyotes before South Dakota answered, while goalkeeper Kaya Lindberg made six key saves to preserve the tie.
Against the Jackrabbits, Preslie Young, Jolee Irvin, and Taryn Rea each found the back of the net, but a second-half red card proved costly as SDSU pulled away.
With the road swing behind them, the Bears now turn their attention to Friday night's match up at Air Force as they look to bounce back.
Fans can keep up with the action through live stats, with Friday's match available on the Mountain West Network and Sunday's match streaming on ESPN+.
Updates will be available on the team's social media channels throughout the road trip.
