Hudson Voggesser Named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week

FARMINGTON, Utah – Northern Colorado linebacker Hudson Voggesser has been selected as the Big Sky Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Voggesser turned in a career performance on the road against No. 20/12 South Dakota, recording a game-high 16 tackles (seven solo). He also added 0.5 tackles for loss for two yards and a quarterback hurry, consistently disrupting the Coyotes' offense and anchoring the Bears' defensive unit.
This marks the third weekly honor overall during head coach Ed Lamb's tenure (third season) and the second of the 2025 campaign, with UNC earning recognition in consecutive weeks. All three of the Bears' weekly awards under Lamb have come on the defensive side of the ball.
Voggesser and the Bears now hit the road once again, traveling to Houston, Texas, to face Houston Christian on Saturday, September 20, at 5:00 p.m. MT. The matchup marks Northern Colorado's third consecutive road game of the 2025 season.
