GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Swimming and Diving is teaming up with No More Under to host the Swim Safely Series, a community initiative focused on promoting water safety and drowning prevention.
The series will run September 8-12 at the Butler-Hancock pool and will provide free swim lessons for kids in the community. The initiative is part of Northern Colorado's continued commitment to outreach and education, while helping reduce the risk of drowning, the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4.
The Swim Safely Series is made possible through a partnership with No More Under, a national nonprofit dedicated to water safety advocacy and education. To support the effort, UNC Swimming and Diving is helping raise $3,000 to fund swim lessons, equipment, and instruction for local families.
"We're incredibly excited to partner with No More Under for this important initiative," said head coach Lisa Ebeling. "Water safety is a life skill, and we're grateful to give back to our community in a way that can make a real impact for kids and families."
Community members are encouraged to support the fundraiser by donating online at www.givebutter.com/uncsaveslifes.
