GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado Cross Country has released its 2025 competition schedule, featuring a strong mix of regional and national meets designed to push the program forward and prepare for a championship-caliber fall.
The Bears open the season on Saturday, Aug. 30 at the Wyoming Invitational in Cheyenne, marking the first of six meets that will span four states and bring elite-level competition to the men's and women's squads.
On Sept. 20, UNC travels to Lincoln, Nebraska for the Woody Greeno Dirksen Invitational, followed by the Louisville Classic on Oct. 4 - a nationally respected meet that draws top programs from across the country.
The Bears will then head to Columbia, Missouri on Oct. 18 for the NCAA Pre-National Invitational, an opportunity to compete on the same course that will host the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships later in the fall.
The Big Sky Conference Championships take place Friday, Oct. 31 in Bozeman, Montana, before NCAA postseason competition begins with the Mountain Regional Championships on Nov. 15 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The season concludes at the NCAA Championships on Nov. 22, again in Columbia.
"We've put together a challenging and strategic schedule that will test our young team while preparing them for peak performance at the Big Sky Championships and beyond," said Wayne Angel, Director of Track & Field/Cross Country. "With key meets like the
Louisville Invitational and the Pre-Nationals, and with NCAA Cross Country Championships qualifier Regina Mpigachai, we are excited to continue raising the bar for Northern Colorado Cross Country."
