GREELEY, Colo. – The University of Northern Colorado Men's Golf program has added two more standouts to its 2025-26 roster with the signing of Tommie Clark and Thomas Barnes Grimes, Director of Golf Clayton Sikorski announced Thursday. Clark, a freshman from Mesa, Arizona, and Barnes Grimes, a junior transfer from Leeds, England, bolster a strong incoming class that also includes early signees Lucas Raoul and Rowan MacDonald.
Clark arrives in Greeley following a decorated junior golf career. The homeschooled product from Arizona is ranked No. 660 on the Junior Golf Scoreboard and has consistently competed at a high level, recording several top finishes in elite events across the region.
His recent results include:
2nd place – Scottsdale Junior Championship (68-67—135, -7)
7th place – Scottsdale Charros Invitational (66-72—138, -6)
3rd place – Chandler City Junior Championship (71-69—140, -4)
6th place – JGAA Fall Classic (72-67—139, -3)

Sikorski praised Clark's background and potential:
"Tommie comes from a golfing family. He has seen elite golf up close and personal and knows what it takes to be successful at the next level. Tommie is a great young man and we are excited to see what he can do as a Bear."
Joining Clark is Barnes Grimes, a seasoned collegiate golfer who began his college career at Rogers State University before transferring to Friends University. A member of the Yorkshire Men's Team and the 2022 Grand Prix du Vaudreuil champion, Barnes Grimes brings international experience and a proven collegiate track record to the program. His accolades include:
Runner-up – MIAA Freshman of the Year (2023–24)

Yorkshire County Team Championship Individual Champion (-9)
RSU 36-hole low score holder (-7)
1st place – Grand Prix du Vaudreuil (2022): 69-72-74
Averaged 72.4 adjusted as a freshman at Rogers State
Sikorski emphasized Barnes Grimes' readiness to make an immediate impact:
"Thomas brings experience and a top-notch work ethic to our team. He has great fundamentals and will thrive with the ability to use our outstanding practice facilities. We expect Thomas to step in right away and contribute."
