Na Tied for Third as Bears Post 278 on Moving Day at Summit Championship
MESA, Ariz. – Northern Colorado men's golf put together one of the best rounds of the day on Monday at the Summit League Championship, shooting a team score of 278 (-6) at Long Bow Golf Course to jump to eighth place at +14 overall heading into the final round.
JaeSeung Na was electric for the Bears, firing a 5-under 66 to move into a tie for third individually at 4-under for the tournament (72-66). Cooper Tate added an even-par 70 to climb into a tie for 26th (+4), while Westin Pals carded a steady 71 (+1) to sit tied for 30th (+5).
Antti Vahvaselka rebounded with a strong 71 (+1) after a tough opening round, and Matias Koropeski contributed to the team's big day with a steady performance.
South Dakota State leads the team race at 11-under, with North Dakota State and Oral Roberts tied for second at 5-under. Northern Colorado will look to ride today's momentum into Tuesday's final round as they aim to climb further up the leaderboard.
