Northern Colorado Finishes Sixth at Big Sky Championship

Colombine finishes tied for 11th while Bears post their lowest round on the final day to climb the leaderboard.
LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Northern Colorado women's golf team closed out the Big Sky Championship with its strongest performance of the week, finishing sixth overall after firing a 294 in Wednesday's final round at Wigwam Golf Course (par 71).
UNC posted a 54-hole total of 893 (+41), steadily improving each round. Four Bears finished in the top 30 individually, with freshman Samantha Colombine leading the way in her final conference championship appearance.
Colombine recorded back-to-back rounds of par or better to close out the tournament, finishing tied for 11th at 6-over (76-71-72—219). Her second-round 71 was her best of the week and helped her climb the leaderboard.
Junior Timbre Shehee tied for 19th at 9-over (75-74-73—222), also saving her best round for the final day. Shehee closed strong with a 2-over par on Tuesday.
Both Carolina Fallotico and Olivia Salonek tied for 27th, carding matching 13-over scores of 226. Fallotico's low round came on day one with a 74, while Salonek bounced back from an opening 77 to finish with rounds of 75 and 74.
Kailey Bass competed individually in the final two rounds, posting scores of 79 and 75 for a 154 total. Her final round marked a four-stroke improvement.
Sacramento State captured their third team title in a row with a dominant 1-over 853, finishing 15 shots clear of the rest of the field.
