Bears Conclude USAFA Diving Invitational

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Northern Colorado diving team wrapped up the final day of the Air Force Diving Invite with strong performances on the platform.
Senior Madison Berg led the Bears, securing 16th place out of 28 competitors with a score of 176.40 across five dives.
Freshman Violet Noel followed with a 22nd-place finish, scoring 150.35, while junior Meredith Clabaugh rounded out the group in 28th with 117.10 points.
DAY TWO RECAP
Freshmen Violet Noel and Mireya Ruiz paced the Bears on the 3-meter springboard on the second day of the Air Force Diving Invitational.
Noel finished 14th out of 37 entries with a score of 231.10, narrowly missing the finals cut.
Ruiz placed 27th with a score of 204.35, while senior Madison Berg followed in 29th at 202.00. Junior Meredith Clabaugh rounded out the Bears' efforts, finishing with 152.50.
The Bears will compete on the platform on the final day of the Invite. Competition will start at 8 a.m. and will be streamed on the Air Force YouTube Channel.
DAY ONE RECAP
The Northern Colorado diving squad competed on the 1-meter springboard on the first day of the Air Force Diving Invitational.
The invitational features teams from Missouri, BYU, Wyoming, Denver, Cal. Baptist, Colorado Mesa, and Colorado State.
Senior Madison Berg paced the Bears, finishing 21st of 40 entries with a score of 217.80 over six dives.
Freshman Violet Noel finished 30th, scoring 191.90. Junior Meredith Clabaugh placed 34th with 183.25. Freshman Mireya Ruiz finished 39th with 171.15.
UP NEXT
The Bears swimming and diving team will compete on Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at home against GCU.
