Madison Berg sets school record in 1-meter dive; Bears deliver strong performances in the pool
DENVER – The Northern Colorado Bears put together a strong showing at the Denver First Chance meet on Friday, highlighted by a record-breaking performance from Madison Berg on the 1-meter dive.
Berg set a new school record in the 1-meter event with a score of 309.30, surpassing the previous mark of 305.55 set in 2011 by Kelly Schmeckpepper-Cook.
"Madison's hard work paid off today when she showed up and hit all of her dives," said Diving Coach Jacob Butler. "Her performance sparked a hunger in the team that will help us continue to move forward in the coming years."
