Bears Unveil 2026 Football Schedule

GREELEY, Colo. – A Big Sky home opener against Weber State and a balanced slate of six home contests at Nottingham Field highlight the 2026 Northern Colorado football schedule, unveiled Wednesday.
The Bears open the 2026 campaign on Aug. 29 when they welcome Weber State to Nottingham Field. It marks the first of three home games in the opening month as UNC looks to set the tone early in year four under head coach Ed Lamb.
Northern Colorado remains home on Sept. 5 to host South Dakota before hitting the road for the first time on Sept. 12 with a trip to Laramie to face Wyoming. The Bears return to Greeley on Sept. 19 to host Northeastern State, closing out a three-home-games-in-four-weeks stretch.
UNC rounds out September on Sept. 26 with a Big Sky matchup at home against Utah Tech before beginning a challenging October swing away from Greeley. The Bears travel to Montana on Oct. 3 and then head to Eastern Washington on Oct. 10 for back-to-back conference road contests.
Northern Colorado returns home on Oct. 17 to host Cal Poly before heading west once again to take on UC Davis on Oct. 24. The Bears receive their lone open date of the season on Oct. 31.
A November road trip to Southern Utah on Nov. 7 kicks off the final month of the season. The Bears' home finale comes on Nov. 14 when they host Montana State. UNC closes the regular-season schedule on Nov. 21 at Northern Arizona.
