Rabess Named MPSF Swimmer of the Week for Second Time This Season

WOODLAND, Calif. – After a record-breaking performance in Northern Colorado's dominant win over Cal Baptist, senior Kyra Rabess has been named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Swimmer of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Rabess was unstoppable in the pool, delivering a historic swim in the 1000 freestyle with a school-record time of 9:56.05, which also earned her an automatic qualifying mark for the CSCAA National Invitational Championship. She added a second individual win in the 500 freestyle (5:01.78), capping an impressive two-win day in Butler-Hancock Pool.
Her performance helped lead the Bears to a 212-88 victory in their final dual meet of the fall semester, where UNC captured 11 event titles overall.
This marks Rabess' second MPSF Swimmer of the Week honor of the season and the team's fourth weekly award in 2025-26, highlighting Northern Colorado's depth and momentum under head coach Lisa Ebeling.
