GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado swimming and diving is set to host CSU for Senior Day on Friday, Jan. 24 at 4 p.m. at Butler Hancock Swimming Pool.
ABOUT THE MEET
The meet is free to fans. For fans unable to attend, the meet will be livestreamed on the Northern Colorado YouTube Channel.
The Bears will recognize five seniors before competition begins on the pool deck. The official ceremony will begin at 4 p.m.
ABOUT THE OPPONENTS
Colorado State competed last on Jan. 18 against Seattle, New Mexico, and Air Force.
The Rams beat all three opponents, taking down the Falcons 187-166, the Lobos 259-94, and the Redhawks 282-64.
LAST TIME OUT
UNC swimming and diving shined at the U.S. Air Force Academy on Jan. 11, earning wins over UTRGV (245-53) and Colorado School of Mines (225-68) but falling to Air Force (191.5-108.5).
Sophomore Kyra Rabess led the Bears with wins in the 1000-yard (10:46.62) and 500-yard freestyle (5:15.58), while Ellyson Lombardi claimed the 200-yard butterfly (2:05.35). Senior Madison Berg anchored the diving team with a second-place finish on the 1-meter board (251.10) and fourth on the 3-meter (243.75).
UP NEXT
The Bears Diving squad will travel to Colorado Springs, Colo. to compete in the Air Force Diving Invite on Jan. 31. The swim squad will compete on Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at home against GCU.
CSCAA NIC 2025
Northern Colorado swimming and dive will be eyeing the 2025 CSCAA National Invitational Championship, set to take place at the FAST Facility in Ocala, Florida from March 13-15, 2025. The event offers Division I swimmers and divers who have achieved B/Zone standards a chance to compete beyond the NCAA Championships. With a chance to qualify through automatic entry by winning their event at a conference championship or by meeting the CSCAA 'A' standard, the Bears are primed for another strong postseason showing. Teams can also enter relays with their fastest times, even if those times don't meet the qualifying standard.
