Bears Carry the Play at Colorado College

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado carried the play against Colorado College at Stewart Field Sunday.
Lexi Tuite led the Bears with three shots, while eight others tallied at least one attempt. UNC tallied a season-high 13 but fell short, dropping a hard-fought 2-0 result.
Despite outshooting the Tigers 7-4 in the first period, UNC trailed 1-0 after allowing a goal in the 27th minute. Colorado College doubled its advantage with 10:29 left on the clock.

Overall, it was a better performance and we created more chances. We need to finish when we get those opportunities. It was a step in the right direction and we will continue improving as we prepare for our long road trip. Our defense played well as a unit. Mia Norman and Taryn Rae stepped up for us.
