GREELEY, Colo. -- In pursuit of enhanced safety and security measures for our valued guests, the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) has implemented a clear bag policy for ticketed athletic events and select other special events beginning in the fall of 2024.
This policy regulates the size and type of bags and personal items permitted into event venues, aiming to expedite entry procedures and ensure a secure environment for all attendees. When in effect, the clear bag policy restricts attendees to one approved clear bag each, complemented by a small clutch purse for privacy.
All bags, purses and personal items brought into the venue are subject to security screening. This proactive approach enables efficient entry and mitigates potential risks.
UNC's clear bag policy applies to the following events.
For additional information, view the clear bag policy frequently asked questions. Prohibited bags may not be placed in clear bags for entry. A clear bag will be used as a substitute for any bag appearing on the prohibited bag list.Â
Allowed personal items
Keys, wallets, phones, makeup and other essential items may be carried in clear bags, clutch purses or pockets. Additional permissible items include small cameras, binoculars, water bottles (emptied before entry), blankets, seat cushions, strollers with infants, and medical necessities.
Prohibited items
The items listed below are prohibited at UNC events when the clear bag policy is in effect and must be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded before entry.
Additionally, UNC operates a smoke and tobacco-free campus. The use of all tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco is banned on UNC property and at all UNC events. The use of tobacco or related products and the presence of any of these items is cause for attendee removal with no refund:
Law enforcement and security has the right to remove any person or persons in violation of Colorado revised statute 18-9-111 or any other violation under C.R.S. Title 18, Greeley Municipal Code, University or conference rule or regulation.Â
